SERVICES

Moving abroad may be an excellent move in your corporate career but it's impact on the family is also significant.  The Geneva and Lausanne area are home to a large number of mulitnational companies and international organizations making it a very beautiful and diverse environment to raise a family.  We also benefit from multiple choices in education to address the different languages and educational systems of this ex-pat community.  This offers great possibilities for growth but adaptation to this new place can be challenging.

I can offer a perspective for those choices, taking into account the time you will spend abroad and the future options for your children's continuing education.  My goal is to make sure you have the understanding of the local situation to take advantage of the positive elements of your move and make this time of transition less stressful.

I offer a variety of services from email and phone advising, to accompanying you locally on orientation and school visits,

to make that transition as comfortable as possible and your stay in Switzerland an opportunity not just for your career but also for your children to get an unforgettable international experience to lead them into this increasingly global world.

Planning

From the moment your move is proposed I can help you understand the options in the area.

Basic overview option:

A 2 hour service including a skype  call to outline the main options of education in the area and your "best fits"  based on your profile.  This  includes a follow up email with the main points of contact to direct your further personal search.

Remote assistance package:

4 hours of combined phone and email support with a  list of appropriate schools, review of their programs  and activities, and their contact information.  Follow up with schools to confirm placement options.

Complete accompanied assistance:

The remote assistance preparation as above (4 hour package) plus a one day face to face orientation tour to the area with school visits.

Strategy

Step One: A  15 minute skype call to determine your needs - free of charge

Step Two:  Confirm your plan and clarify the time line for action with guidance on school applications

Step Three: Follow up with schools for placement, if applicable

Step Four:  Local visits, if required

Results and expectations

Do not expect judgements on the "best" schools in the area;  experience has taught me that this is a subjective judgement.  No one can tell you what suits your family, but I can work with you to understand the options available  so you can make the most informed decision on your own.

Although I have worked closely with all the major international schools in the area, I am not in a position to guarantee placement in the schools.  I will, however advise you on the necessary steps  to take to assure the best possible chance of admission to a suitable school for your arrival in Switzerland and be transparent about any challenges you may face.
